You'll be joining a supportive team where you'll work alongside experienced Product Owners, developers and stakeholders, helping to shape products used by some of the world's leading insurance organisations!

You'll get involved in the full product journey, from understanding what customers need and helping define new features, through to supporting delivery and seeing your ideas come to life.

If you're looking for a role where you can continue building the foundations for a long-term career in Product, we'd love to hear from you!

Job purpose, tasks and responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring work is clearly defined and ready for product development.
  • Collaborate as part of a Scrum team, actively contributing to sprint planning and sprint reviews.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and developers to translate requirements into high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Capture needs from colleagues, the business and clients to shape product and feature enhancements.
  • Act as a day-to-day point of contact for the development team, providing clarity on requirements and supporting delivery throughout the sprint cycle.
  • Support quality assurance and user-acceptance testing, working closely with the technical team ahead of each release.
  • Engage with clients to gather feedback and understand how our products are used in the market.
  • Communicate progress and product updates back to the business.

What's the Best Thing About This Role?

This role gives you the chance to have a real view of how digital products come together. You'll work closely with colleagues across the business to help shape ideas into features that customers use every day. Because you'll be involved throughout the process, you'll quickly build an understanding of both the products themselves and the thinking behind them.

It's also a great opportunity to learn from an experienced team, take on meaningful responsibility from an early stage, and develop your product skills in a supportive environment.

What's the Most Challenging Thing About This Role?

You'll be learning about Axco's products, customers and the markets we serve, and you'll be encouraged to take on responsibility fairly quickly as you become a key part of the product development process. The learning curve can be steep at times, both in terms of building knowledge and taking ownership of your work.

You'll often be balancing different priorities, working with a range of stakeholders and turning complex requirements into something clear and actionable for the development team.
