Job Role: Digital Learning Developer - Part Time

Location: UK - Homebased
Salary: £30,000 – £40,000, but will be pro rata for 22.5 hours per week
Contract Type: Fixed-Term Contract (6 months, potential for extension / permanency)

Job purpose, tasks and responsibilities

As our Digital Learning Developer, you will:
  • Design, develop, and maintain innovative digital learning solutions that directly impact learners.
  • Administer LMS systems and content web players.
  • Collaborate with the product team to align digital learning solutions with our product roadmap and business strategy.
  • Project manage the implementation of digital learning solutions.
  • Produce detailed documentation and proposals for various learning initiatives.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by researching and applying the latest advancements in digital learning technologies.
  • Liaise with software partners and vendors to support ongoing development.

This is a fast-paced, busy role where you’ll need to hit the ground running. 
 
Managing multiple projects simultaneously will require strong time management, adaptability, and the ability to work independently from day one.

Essential and desirable capabilities

To be successful in this role, you must have:
  • A solid understanding of instructional design principles, pedagogy, and educational theories.
  • Hands-on experience with UI/UX design in eLearning.
  • Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools like Articulate Storyline 360, Articulate Rise 360, or Adobe Captivate.
  • A keen interest in emerging technologies, particularly in AI-driven learning tools.
  • Strong quality assurance skills with a methodical approach to testing learning solutions.
  • Excellent time management and the ability to work independently.
 
To be successful in this role, it would be great if you have:
  • Project management experience, especially in managing multiple, concurrent tasks.
  • Familiarity with digital platforms such as video editing tools, content sharing applications, and online training software.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud and AI tools like Midjourney, Runway, or Synthesia.
