Job purpose, tasks and responsibilities

As our Business Development Executive, you'll be part of a team taking the lead on promoting Axco’s fantastic range of products and services to existing & potential new clients. 

 

You'll be engaging with the marketplace and with clients to build a pipeline portfolio for our Business Development Managers (BDM) who you'll work closely with to research & follow up on leads to develop new revenue streams. 

 

Responsibilities of the role include, but aren't limited to;

  • Learning about Axco's products and how to best position these to prospective clients.
  • Working with our Commercial Team to identify new business development opportunities.
  • Carrying out research to identify job titles, target entities, and key contacts all relevant to the Axco proposition.
  • Generate leads/ prospects via emails, social media and cold calling to ultimately schedule in discovery calls for our BDMs.
  • Achieving your weekly & monthly targets.
  • Cleansing & maintaining Axco's CRM.
  • Managing all relevant internal & external stakeholders

Essential and desirable capabilities

We always support colleagues to develop their skills but to be successful in this job you really do need to already be able to tick most of these boxes...

 

We know it’s not a skill, but the successful candidate must have permission to work in the role’s location by the start of their employment.

 

You will also need;

  • Experience of researching, gained either through employment or studying.
  • Experience of cold-calling and lead generation from your own research. 
  • Excellent communication skills – spoken, written, and listening.
  • A strong understanding of working with or in a consultative sales environment would be beneficial.
  • A commercial awareness and the ability to apply oneself analytically.
  • Strong relationship building skills with the ability & drive to develop your professional network.
  • Ability to multitask & prioritise.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Salesforce.
