You are a driven, experienced marketing operations manager or similar, who has worked with Salesforce and Marketo or similar and has a consistent record of leading projects, influencing partners and leading cross departmental collaboration preferably for a digital subscription service or publication.  


You are process driven but commercially aware, and you have experience of leading CRM implementations projects and high value CRM updates.


In this incredibly varied role, you will be assessing operational efficiency across our business with a focus on tech and customer journey.  You will use your extensive experience and passion to generate KPIs, and ensure our end to end processes deliver fantastic, efficient results.

Compliance Week is the top resource for news and information in the compliance business community, and they are part of the Wilmington Intelligence division. Since inception over 12 years ago, CW has assisted our readers with making well informed decisions. Our audience represents financial, legal, governance, risk, audit, and compliance executives at public companies.

Main Purpose of Role

As a tech-savvy, process custodian, you will head up our Operations team, and partner with our business to lead the efficiencies of key workflows and technology platforms that enable the delivery of Compliance Week’s services to both internal and external clients. 


Key duties include reviewing the efficiency of all processes, integrating various unconnected technology platforms, creating a seamless customer journey, and establishing/reporting KPIs across the business.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the efficiency of our technology platforms, including Salesforce (CRM), Marketo, custom content management system, GlobalMeet (webcast), Cvent (delegate management), and more.
  • Partnering between our internal and external technology partners.
  • Supporting and manage a small Operations team.
  • Accountability for monitoring and reporting KPIs across the business.
  • Spearheading a project to integrate Compliance Week’s customer relationship management (Salesforce) and marketing (Marketo) platforms with its content management system.
  • Influencing and optimising our customer journey across all platforms.
  • Using your knowledge and insights to uncover gaps in collaboration with internal and external partners.
  • Train and onboard a growing team and help to shape the future of Compliance Week
  • Under your guidance you will support marketing and sales to build targeted client lists based on data and insights.
  • Plenty of other ad hoc activities as they arise (this is an incredibly varied role).

Skills and Experience Required

We always support colleagues to develop their skills but to be successful in this job you really do need to already be able to tick most of these boxes...


We know it’s not a skill, but the successful candidate must have permission to work in the role’s location by the start of their employment.


You will also need;


  • 5+ years project management and team leadership experience, preferably for a digital subscription service or publication.  
  • Proficiency in Salesforce (CRM), Marketo (or similar), Microsoft Suite (Excel, Office), Salesforce, Google Ad Manager, digital content management systems, and project management software (, Asana).
  • A consistent record of innovation and thought leadership in developing new tools and processes.
  • Experienced at easily transitioning from high-level critical thinking to creative and detailed execution.
  • Ability to cross departmental boundaries to influence, persuade, and collaborate.
  • Capacity to explore databases, query data in different platforms, and create reporting from data analysis.
  • Adept at working in a fast-paced environment and successfully juggle multiple projects and tasks with tight deadlines.
  • Dependable with sensitive information.


  • Working knowledge of HTML and using APIs to connect technology platforms
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI
