Main Purpose of Role

The Marketing Coordinator works collaboratively with internal teams including marketing, production, and sales to drive conference attendee revenue and generate leads for the sales team. This is a role that requires excellence in project management, time management, and multi-tasking. The Marketing Coordinator will:


  • Own the marketing and project management for 25+ events annually in the health care, finance, law enforcement, compliance, and legal space
  • Collaborate with internal teams to define target audience for each conference
  • Write compelling email copy with the goal of engaging readers and generating leads
  • Maintain event websites by making real-time updates in content management system
  • Write persuasive copy for event websites and brochures, following brand and copywriting guidelines
  • Collaborate with marketing & editorial team on digital and content marketing strategies
  • Communicate with sales reps on each conference to generate feedback and determine how to improve marketing messaging
  • Interact with external conference sponsors on an as-needed basis
  • Serve as the project manager for assigned events, communicating with all internal teams to keep external marketing channels up-to-date
  • Analyze marketing activities on a weekly basis including email and lead generation reports
  • Stay on top of year-over-year progress and course correct as needed
  • Review all event assets with a keen eye to ensure accuracy
  • Assist with on-site conference assets from a marketing perspective including signage and promotional materials
  • Complete analysis of events to help launch events, as well as wrap up and debrief past events
  • Be mindful of milestone dates in the event lifecycle and be able to hit due dates as outlined

Skills and Experience Required

We know it’s not a skill, but the successful candidate must have permission to work in the role’s location by the start of their employment.


You will also need;

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in business/marketing or related field
  • Experience in a B2B or B2C environment
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with the ability to effectively time manage, prioritize and multitask
  • Copywriting skills with examples to share
  • Experience with content management system (Umbraco a plus)
  • Ability to think analytically and review data
  • The drive to hit milestone dates in a timely manner
  • Excellent relationship building skills in person, on the phone and via video
  • A team player that works independently and is a self starter
  • Results oriented and able to think outside the box to reach goals
  • Prior event marketing experience a plus
  • Prior marketing automation experience a plus
