Foundation Research Association (FRA) are part of Wilmington's Training Division and are the  preferred  resource  for  professionals  seeking  cutting-edge information on the next wave of business opportunities in the areas of finance, law enforcement, government, legal and compliance.  FRA produces more than 20 conferences annually, focused  on  sophisticated  topics  and  ample  networking opportunities  for  thousands  of  executives  from  mid-  to  senior-level  and  C-suite. 

Main Purpose of Role

You will be responsible for driving strategic marketing tactics for the organization’s two flagship executive-level conferences annually with the goal of driving leads and revenue.

 

This will include:-

  • Developing comprehensive marketing campaigns for assigned conferences
  • Collaborating with conference production to define the target audience
  • Creating a tailored marketing strategy using demographic and behavioral characteristics of the audience to inform the approach
  • Utilizing multi-channel marketing tactics including but not limited to email marketing, retargeting, social media, content marketing, direct mail, search engine optimization and paid search
  • Collaborating with conference sponsors and speakers to develop a co-marketing approach
  • Establishing media partnerships and serve as the primary contact
  • Creatively utilizing social media to identify individual influencers that can amplify marketing reach

You will serve as a project manager, working with internal and external resources to ensure marketing campaign success by:-

  • Collaborating with internal and external subject matter experts to translate knowledge into strategic marketing initiatives
  • Coordinating with Graphic Designers, Email Marketers and Systems Architect to ensure all marketing tasks are completed on time and within budget
  • Working closely with conference-assigned Producer, Business Development Representative and Sponsorship Sales Representative to communicate marketing strategy and drive collaboration to reach revenue goals

You will also be responsible for regular reporting of marketing campaign progress resulting in new, out-of-the-box tactics to drive attendance to conferences by:-

  • Reviewing marketing activities and results on a weekly basis
  • Creating and following pacing reports to compare YOY progress
  • Making recommendations for success based on reporting and analysis
  • Ensuring marketing tactics are performed within budget

Skills and Experience Required

We always support colleagues to develop their skills but to be successful in this job you really do need to already be able to tick most of these boxes...

 

We know it’s not a skill, but the successful candidate must have permission to work in the role’s location by the start of their employment.

 

You will also need;

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in business/marketing or related field
  • Experience in a B2B or B2C environment
  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce a plus) and marketing automation platforms (Marketo a plus)
  • Google Ad Words experience and ability to think analytically
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with the ability to effectively time manage, prioritize and multitask
  • Experience running multi-touch & multi-channel campaigns
  • Excellent relationship building skills in person, on the phone and via Skype
  • To be a team player that works independently and is a self starter
  • Results oriented and able to think outside the box to reach goals
  • Copywriting experience for multiple channels 

Experience in a healthcare or finance industry and prior event marketing experience is desirable.
