Job Role: Course Operations Coordinator

Location: Leicester

Salary:  £20,500 - £23,000

Main Purpose of Role

You will be part of a team that focuses on the organisation and planning of our events. You will work alongside others to deal with any issues that arise and ensure that all events are a success. You will also be integral in ensuring all communications are sent as required to our external support network.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for administration and running of accountancy and tax course programmes, for a portfolio of both individual firms and national events
  • Assisting with the planning and organising of various courses, conferences, events and online training. This involves coordinating venues, speakers, dates and communications to clients
  • Reviewing processes and procedures to continually improve
  • Delivering a key contribution to the development of the business and ensuring that Mercia’s training is always of the highest quality.

Skills and Experience Required

You will also need;

  • You must be able to work on your initiative
  • A strong team member who can support others with tasks
  • You must demonstrate that you can work in a face-paced environment
  • Be able to communicate efficiently with clients and external suppliers, including dealing withdifficult conversations
  • An exceptionally strong planner who can prove they can multi-task

You need to be the kind of person who…

 

  • Has strong English skills, backed by the relevant qualification(s): GCSE, Key Skills or Functional Skills
  • Has strong ICT skills and has had exposure to different systems
  • Has the ability to negotiate with others and seek resolutions
  • Can demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision. This is important asthe teamwork in a hybrid office/home environment
  • Can demonstrate that they are organised and able to plan independently
  • Loves to learn – both knowledge and skills
  • Is a creative question-asker and a solution-finder
  • Is able to work in a fast paced, fun and progressive environment
  • Enjoys a challenge – we work hard, and it can be a steep learning curve
