Main Purpose of Role

The main focus of this role will be the design and delivery of learning events both digital and face to face on a number of audit and accounts related topics.  To get you started, you will work with our expert designers to put together learning material relevant to your specialism so you will have the opportunity to learn from some of the best course designers around.


Day to day you will design and deliver a variety of training courses including CPD course programmes,  writing and developing technical yet practical course materials for use on face-to-face and online events.


You will review and influence existing course content, whilst also supporting the development and updating of our range of technical manuals, methodologies and paperless systems.


You'll be the kind of person who thrives on keeping up to date with latest technical changes across a wide range of subjects and presenting this in an interesting and engaging style.


The role does involve UK wide travel but the courses are booked well in advance which allows you to plan life around it.


We're also looking for people who are happy to share their knowledge and expertise by contributing to editorial and development of marketing support products and services. These can be articles for websites, newsletters, social media blogs or our popular annual budget report.

Skills and Experience Required

We always support colleagues to develop their skills but to be successful in this job you really do need to already be able to tick most of these boxes...


We know it’s not a skill, but the successful candidate must have permission to work in the role’s location by the start of their employment.


You will also need;

  • ACA or ACCA Qualified Accountants or those who have other relevant experience
  • Good experience of UK Accounting and Auditing Standards
  • Ideally familiarity with non-audit regulations that impact on accountancy practices
  • Good communication skills and ability to apply technical issues to a range of practice situations

You need to be the kind of person who…

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong technical knowledge with the ability to explain this in a way which is easy for others to understand
  • Hands on or management experience within a professional practice or relevant professional body
  • Interest in technology and the opportunities this creates for development
  • Enthusiastic self-starter and team player with a desire to help others
  • Willingness to travel throughout the UK
