    Job Role: SQL Developer

    Location: Basildon,  SS16

    Salary:  £30,000 - £35,000 (DoE)

    Main Purpose of Role

    So no day is the same in this role.  Your main purpose as an SQL Developer in our team is to provide industry leading technical service and support for Pharmaceutical Clients, Partner organisations and internal clients.

    You'll make excellent use of your ETL, DBA, Database Transformation, data management and data visualisation expertise on a daily basis by supporting our teams in the delivery of the technical requirements of our customers and their data needs.

    You'll be working on SQL Server and Relational Database design, query building, programming and analysis and using your strong ETL package creation skills to maintain and fault find to ensure exceptional data provision.

    Data reporting is a key element in what we do so attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines and under pressure at times is required but to counter you working longer hours, we're happy to support flexible working.

    We also work on Tableau or Qlikview so it would be great if you had experience in a similar BI platform.

    Skills and Experience Required

    We always support colleagues to develop their skills but to be successful in this job you really do need to already be able to tick most of these boxes...


    We know it’s not a skill, but the successful candidate must have permission to work in the UK by the start of their employment 


    You will also need;

    • Experience in the same or similar database analysis/admin role is essential, including SQL Server and MS Access Database design, query building, programming and analysis
    • Strong ETL package creation, maintenance and fault finding experience
    • Excellent all round communication skills including data reporting
    • Attention to detail along with data manipulation and quality control
    • Self motivated with a desire to exceed client expectations
    • Experience with using Tableau, Qlikview or similar BI platform
    • Use and creation of SSIS packages and SSRS reports
    • A sound understating of relational databases
    • A sound understanding of programming and data flows


    • Knowledge of CRM systems
    • Technical documentation, including data flows and process flows, specification creation and writing of testing scenarios
    • Working knowledge of the NHS and healthcare sector
