    Job Role:  Digital Marketer –subscriptions

    Location: London, E1

    Why do we want you?

    HSJ is the leading news, data and digital-insight brand for the UK healthcare sector. We are looking for a digital marketing expert to grow our subscriptions business: leveraging our advanced Content Management System (CMS) to increase conversion through the e-commerce funnel.

     

    We want you because you are an ambitious digital marketing specialist, who is experienced in using marketing automation (Marketo Eloqua HubSpot or similar), Google Analytics (GA), Webtrends, StatCounter or similar and expertise in SEO, PPC, email and social media marketing, as well as experience optimizing the product UI/UX to improve conversion and retention.

    Main Purpose of Role

    So, what will you be doing?

     

    As a Digital Marketing expert you will join our market-leading brand HSJ, to help us continue to grow the subscriber customer base on HSJ.co.uk and HSJ Intelligence, and deliver new products to market, using high-value content, marketing automation, CRM technology, social media and digital/online marketing channels.

     

    This is a fantastic digital marketing opportunity for somebody who is ambitious and wants to use their expertise in the latest digital and marketing automation tools and technology within a highly commercial environment.

     

    You will use your subject matter expertise to deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns, using SEO, PPC, email and social media to increase site traffic across our digital subscriptions platforms/sites, using content and pricing strategies to increase conversion from the sites and leveraging the platform capabilities and metered-content strategies to drive conversion.

     

    As an experienced digital marketer, you will use your knowledge to exploit our marketing automation platform (Marketo) to deliver effective direct-campaigns and develop lead nurture programmes to improve customer-insight and sales conversion rates.

     

    We all know how important targetted campaigns are so it goes without saying that you will have experience in tracking and measuring marketing activities and customer touch-points, to measure ROI from marketing and this is something you will do naturally in this role.  Along with this, you will have a passion for tracking customer engagement to improve our understanding of the customer journey and leveraging customer insight to acquire new customers, grow revenues and improve the products.

    Skills and Experience Required

    We always support colleagues to develop their skills but to be successful in this job you really do need to already be able to tick most of these boxes...

     

    We know it’s not a skill, but the successful candidate must have permission to work in the UK by the start of their employment

     

    • Experience in subscriptions revenues essential
    • Marketing products where the sales/transactions are online (e-commerce)
    • Improving websites/CMS and improving user experience (UI) to drive and increase sales
    • Demonstrable PPC and SEO expertise, with performance metrics and examples of campaigns
    • Using social channels for marketing, with case studies and examples
    • Web analytics (Webtrends, Google Analytics GA or equivalent)
    • Social Media campaign management (Sprout, Hootsuite etc…)
    • Marketing automation (Marketo/Pardot/Eloqua or similar)
    • Technical website skills such as SQL, HTML, CSS, GA highly desirable
    • Strong Microsoft Excel and/or data visualization tools such as Tableau also desirable, but not essential
