    Job Role: Elearning Developer

    Location: Sutton Coldfield / London


    CLT International (www.cltint.com) prides itself in designing and delivering best-in-class professional training for those engaged in inter-generational wealth management.  The programmes we create are delivered for and in partnership with the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).  We have been doing this for 15 years on a global basis and we are expanding the team.  The training we create is accredited and certificated and is delivered in over 50 countries.  CLTI is a U.K. based organisation and part of Wilmington plc's Risk & Compliance Division.     Main Purpose of Role

    Responsibility for the development and support of elearning courses and resources in line with CLTI’s strategic plan will be all yours in this role.


    You'll also be the one to;

    • Develop professional eLearning content that will integrate within an LMS platform with consideration for working on mobiles and tablets.
    • Work with subject matter experts and use instructional design principles to script, storyboard and deploy effective eLearning solutions.
    • Develop a roadmap for online course delivery and deliver against same.
    • Employ a design/instruction style that reflects an understanding of the diversity of learners.
    • Assist with development projects in the areas of eLearning, and new technologies to continually improve the provision for teaching, learning and assessment.
    • Liaise with our course coordinators and subject matter experts through full project life-cycle from requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery.
    • Attend internal and external meetings (some of which may require travel).  
    • Be creative in the use of language, graphics, animations, interactions, audio and video.
    • Maintain close attention to detail.
    • Think innovatively and use your own initiative to solve problems.
    • Liaise with stakeholders/subject matter experts and build effective working relationships.
    • Engage with multiple projects meeting tight deadlines.
    • Manage own workload and prioritise tasks to make distinctions between critical and cosmetic tasks.

    Skills and Experience Required

    We always support colleagues to develop their skills but to be successful in this job you really do need to already be able to tick most of these boxes...


    We know it’s not a skill, but the successful candidate must have permission to work in the UK by the start of their employment 


    You will also need;


    • Experience in the same or similar role
    • The type of person who is consistent and organised in their approach, with an eye for detail and diligent
    • Experience in using Rise, Storyline or similar eLearning software to create empowering and professional quality training materials.
    • Strong portfolio of work demonstrating creativity/innovation and focus on user experience.
    • Instructional design and eLearning development.
    • Experience of using and maintaining an online learning platform (Moodle, Totara, etc.)
    • Embedding and creating SCORM compliant content.
    • Handling and resolving technical issues.
    • Mobile learning principles or experience (HTML5/responsive web design).
    • Strong command of the English Language.


    • Design, software-orientated or multimedia degree or equivalent
    • Simple games/exercises design and development using Articulate Storyline.
    • HTML5/CSS/JavaScript
    • Flash
    • Photoshop
    • Illustrator
    • Google Material Design concepts
    • UX/UI concepts
