    Location:  Aldgate, London

    Main Purpose of Role

    Are you a detail focused, curious self-starter who is experienced in providing exceptional customer service and, you just happen to be one of the most organised people on the planet? 

     

    We’re looking for someone who wants to kick start their career in events management to join our already exceptional events team.

     

    You’ll need a passion for detail, high personal integrity and fantastic phone, face to face and written communication skills.

     

    So what will you be doing…

     

    Well, to be honest, no two days are ever the same.  In this job you will be supporting the team to deliver a portfolio of events run by Health Service Journal (HSJ) & Wilmington Healthcare.

     

    The events are varied so you’ll have plenty of organising to do and you’ll be kept busy as you’ll be working on multiple events at any one time.  To give you a flavour of the scale, we run a large-scale congress (850+ attendees), residential summits (100-200 attendees), 1-day forums (100-200 attendees), 1-day seminars (30-50 attendees) and Awards ceremonies (500-1,800 attendees) all of which you’ll be involved in.

     

    Customer service is a strength in our team, so you’ll need to be someone whose goal is for customers to be surprised and delighted with their experience pre, during and post event.

    Skills and Experience Required

    We always support colleagues to develop their skills but to be successful in this job you really do need to already be able to tick most of these boxes...

    • 5 C grades of above GCSE or equivalent to include English and Maths
    • Sufficient experience within a similar role with a high level of administration
    • An event related degree or experience within an event company would be an advantage
    • Excellent interpersonal skills including, teamwork, partnership and collaboration
    • Must be familiar with general computer use including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook.  Salesforce and Marketo knowledge would be an advantage.
    • Strong attention to detail in essential as is customer focus and experience of providing excellent service
    • Engaging, empathetic with ability to challenge at senior levels
