    Main Purpose of Role

    To be part of a team that support Business Systems end users, specifically Finance systems. To maintain integrity of Finance systems, assist in upgrades and the development of Finance systems and software. Additionally, to assist in Business Systems administration.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide day to day 1st line system and user support on Business systems specifically Finance related
    • Carry out regular reconciliations and processing of the various systems and to resolve differences in a timely manner
    • Train users in creating reports, providing them with the knowledge and tools to write their own reports
    • Provide user training and coaching as required on the financial business systems
    • Be actively involved in progressing system projects and upgrades
    • Work with users to monitor usage and advocate best practice, to promote efficiency
    • Production of user guides and maintenance of system documentation and the development & delivery of training plans
    • Assist department management in administrative duties as needed to run the department efficiently.

    Skills and Experience Required

    Expectations:

    • You will need to be able to work on your own initiative but be equally able to work as a member of the wider team.
    • You can learn and use remote communication technology.
    • You have a welcoming manner, a good work ethic and will enjoy helping others.
    • You have an understanding that out of hours work may be occasionally required.
    • You will have a willingness to travel if needed

     

    The person in this role:

     

    You are a self-motivated individual who is keen to learn new software, enjoys interacting with end users and resolving problems, understands the importance of data integrity and is willing to assist in the smooth running of the team as required.

    You have experience of working in a Finance team; experience or knowledge of Proactis, SunSystems and Q&A or SalesForce/FinancialForce is an advantage

     

    The skills required:

     

    • Accounting qualification or more than 3 years finance experience
    • Good IT literacy, specifically very proficient at using Excel and Microsoft Office
    • Excellent attention to detail and good analytical skills
    • Good organisational and prioritisation skills, able to work to deadlines
    • The ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally
