    Main Purpose of Role

    Compliance Week is looking for a highly motivated and versatile individual to join the staff in the daily editing, writing, and formatting of digital content and creating a subscriber-targeted, engaging web presence. Primary responsibilities will include updating the CW website, distributing content over all social media channels and using analytics tools to evaluate content and distribution decisions. This individual will also be tasked with overseeing production of original editorial video and audio content and will work out of the Compliance Week offices in Boston.

    Skills and Experience Required

    Job Description:

    • Copy editing editorial content.
    • Writing short stories on compliance industry news and occasional feature stories.
    • Posting content to ComplianceWeek.com and distributing it via social media (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).
    • Producing original video and podcast content, including recording and editing responsibilities.
    • Working within Google Analytics and social media analytics tools to create specific traffic reports on Compliance Week content, identifying trends.
    • Conducting internet- and outreach-sourced research on trending topics within compliance, cyber-security and corporate governance.

    Required skills/background:

    • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
    • At least 3 years experience using digital tools in a journalistic capacity, including content management systems and video production.
    • At least 3 years experience editing content for consumer-facing publication.
    • Experience with mobile and social media platforms.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong interest in current events.
    • Strong interest or experience in business/compliance news.
    • Ability to thrive under deadlines.
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

    Preferred skills:

    • Experience with the compliance and ethics industry.
    • Baseline knowledge of HTML.
    • Experience using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
    • Experience using iMovie or equivalent video editing software.
    • Experience using email marketing tools.
    • Experience with Google Analytics and social media analytics tools.
