Why do we want you?
We want you because you are ACA or ACCA qualified with strong technical accounting knowledge and the ability to help others to understand technical accounting practice.
This is an extremely agile role so you could end up doing a number of things such as training accountancy professionals, carrying out audit assignments or providing audit consultancy and compliance support.
Our audit and accounts consultancy service offers the provision of audit consultancy and compliance services to firms who outsource their quality control meaning you would visit firms throughout the UK to provide, hot and cold file reviews (circa 100- 120 days a year), conducting reviews remotely whilst office or home based and providing debrief of findings by phone. As you can imagine, this will also involve writing reports and providing recommendations so you will need strong written technical capabilities. We'd also love your contribution to editorial and development of Mercia’s range of audit and accounts related marketing support products and services, articles for websites, newsletters etc
We offer audit product and specialist assignment manuals so we'll need your technical input with these in order to develop and update of our range of technical manuals, methodologies and paperless stems.
Other opportunities include client care and building relationships with our clients to identify and deliver bespoke training packages we can provide them with.
We always support colleagues to develop their skills but to be successful in this job you really do need to already be able to tick most of these boxes...
