    Main Purpose of Role

    To manage the strategy and implementation of all marketing campaigns for online, face to face courses and conferences to ensure budgeted revenue targets are achieved.

     

    The role holder will have a good level of knowledge and experience across the full marketing mix. You will optimise campaigns to ensure the most appropriate mix for the target audience to give the best possible reach and greatest opportunities for lead generation, engagement and conversion.  

     

    Responsibilities

    • To own, lead and deliver strategic marketing campaigns to new and existing contacts across the portfolio of products, focussed on targeting and customer segmentation to reach appropriate contacts.
    • Manage the campaign schedule including (but not limited to) potential commercial impact (gaps in the sales pipeline, revenue opportunities, topical issues etc, marketing segmentation and customer fatigue
    • Ensure marketing automation campaign strategies align with the business customer engagement goals
    • Develop measurable campaign objectives with scalable, repeatable campaigns and reporting analysis
    • Implement goals to deliver analytics, strategy and best practice across marketing team
    • Create exciting, engaging and highly targeted copy for use in marketing materials and digital content, including developing accurate and timely copy for email campaigns.
    • Manage web copy and content on website
    • Effectively communicate your marketing plans and campaigns to internal and external stakeholders and create enthusiasm and support company wide
    • Ensure all campaigns are delivered on time and within budget
    • Lead the marketing team to meet revenue and delegate attendee targets
    • Support delivery of the marketing data strategy to ensure data is regularly validated, preferences and permissions are maintained
    • Monitor sales and sales patterns to inform marketing strategies
    • Full ownership of marketing budget
    • Work collaboratively with the Product Development Team to ensure all marketing activities are aligned to the events campaigns
    • Manage agency relationships for SEO, PPC, print and design
    • Manage, coach and develop two Marketing Executives
    • Create accurate and timely copy for email campaigns
    • Ensure the highest level of proof reading and accuracy across all marketing campaigns
    • Provide monthly KPI reports
    • Ensure smooth CRM migration to Salesforce

    Skills and Experience Required

    • Strategic thinker with strong digital and analytical skills
    • Must demonstrate an understanding of customer segmentation to ensure marketing messages are appropriate, tailored and consistent in tone of voice.
    • Experience of leading marketing projects
    • Data management and segmentation
    • Demonstrate responsibility for client and prospect data including acquisition, maintenance and GDPR compliance
    • Good organisational and schedule management skills
    • Strong experience across the full marketing mix including:
    • Search engine marketing and optimisation
    • Social media
    • Digital Advertising
    • E-mail Marketing
    • Content Marketing
    • Experience in implementing marketing automation technology
    • Excellent team player
    • Strong communication skills
    • Highly energetic and self-motivated

     Qualifications and Experience

     

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience marketing B2B training and events
    • Educated to degree level or equivalent
    • Marketing qualification, preferably with digital marketing emphasis
    • Extensive digital marketing experience including best practice, web analytics and data management
    • Outstanding analytical skills and experience of using analytics tools including Google Analytics
    • Proven track record of developing creative and innovative marketing strategies and successful results orientated campaigns
    • Excellent email marketing and copywriting skills with a passion for detail and accuracy
    • Strong leadership and excellent written/verbal communication skills
    • Demonstrable ability to handle multiple tasks, to prioritise these tasks and meet tight deadlines
    • Practical experience of marketing planning and budgeting
    • Experience in supporting, developing and training a small team
    • Knowledge of the legal market would be an advantage
