    Main Purpose of Role

    The primary purpose of this role is to manage a specific group of key Pharmaceutical companies, with responsibility for developing relationships across the account to identify new business opportunities, and increase engagement with current services:

    • Engagement Services – CRM and data solutions, Multichannel Marketing services
    • Education and Collaboration Services – online education, Events and webinars
    • Analytics & Insights Services – intelligence tools, & bespoke analytics
    • Planning, Resourcing and Optimisation Services – Therapy Hubs, Research, Medicines Management
    • NHS Collaboration – Consulting projects including Commissioning Excellence, Service Redesign, Disease Insight Reports, Network Meetings, Quantis Portfolio

    Your objectives include:

    • Expanding the reach of the above services throughout each allocated client.  This involves working with multiple stakeholders including: Marketing, Brand/Product teams, Medical, Market access, commercial and sales managers and Learning and Development teams.
    • Identifying client’s needs, and ensure alignment of each services to the client’s sales and marketing activities throughout the life cycle.
    • Developing strategy for expanding scope of existing contracts and identifying new business opportunities.
    • Positioning WHC Healthcare as a leading healthcare insights company
    • Developing a full understanding of the product portfolio in order to successfully meet clients’ needs,
    • Commercial responsibility for maximising penetration of each account and increasing revenues
    • Achieving sales targets and activity key performance indicators (KPI’s) as set by the Sales Director
    • Take ownership of quarterly and annual business plans with responsibility for accurate business forecasting.
    • Working closely with the client services, project management teams and other internal stakeholders to plan and manage projects from inception to closure.   
    • Understanding the key clients’ priorities to effectively communicate their business needs internally within WHC and translate to fit the solutions WHC can deliver
    • Being regarded as a recognised and valued partner by the client

    Skills and Experience Required

    Qualifications/Attainments:

    • Educated to Degree level or equivalent standard 

    Experience:

    • Proven track record of winning and developing major key accounts, within the pharma/healthcare sector or agency environment.
    • Demonstrable experience of successfully employing a consultative selling approach
    • Excellent written and verbal communication
    • The ability to influence outcomes
    • Presenting at senior level
    • Strong relationship building
    • Vision and Direction
    • Proven ability to work as part of a team
    • Ability to network at all levels – internally and externally

     

    Knowledge: 

    • Knowledge of the life sciences industry and their sales and marketing techniques, requirements and budgeting and planning cycles
    • Knowledge of the UK health care structure and impact of current changes on the healthcare industry.

     Other requirement:

     

    • You should hold a current UK driving licence
    • You will be flexible and able to travel to your client’s premises if required
