    Main Purpose of Role

    Wilmington Healthcare is a fast-growing B2B data and intelligence business. We provide data and insight on the rapidly changing UK healthcare market. Our in-depth NHS knowledge, coupled with our high-quality datasets enable effective and actionable insights. Our live events, training and news-services empower workforces and support strategic decision making.


    We are looking for a marketing assistant to join our campaign marketing team: to help us continue to grow our customer base and deliver new products to market, using high-value content, marketing automation, CRM technology, social media and digital marketing. Our customers include the UK’s leading pharmaceutical companies, medtech innovators, healthcare providers, NHS suppliers and national and local policy-makers.


    This is an ideal role for an ambitious individual, starting their career in marketing, who wants to use the latest tools and technology in a highly commercial environment. Training/development provided.



    • Supporting the marketing managers to deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns
    • Managing social media accounts and deliver social campaigns
    • Update website copy with product announcements and news/thought-leadership content
    • Track/measure marketing activities and customer touch-points, to measure ROI from marketing
    • Work with the automation team to scope, plan and implement automation campaigns
    • Use lead nurture programmes to improve customer-insight; increasing sales conversion rates
    • Track customer engagement to improve our understanding of the customer journey

    Skills and Experience Required


    • B2B marketing experience and/or a marketing qualification is highly desirable
    • Using social media for marketing, working with sales teams, managing websites and CMS systems and/or any database experience is highly desirable
    • Marketing automation experience (Marketo/Pardot/Eloqua or similar) is highly desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided

     Specific Skills & competencies:


    • Highly literate and numerate, with strong copy and proof reading skills
    • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
    • Demonstrable understanding of marketing principles
    • Understanding of web analytics (Webtrends, Google Analytics or equivalent packages useful)
    • Social Media campaign management (Sprout, Hootsuite etc…)

     Personal qualities:

    • Extremely well organised and able to manage and prioritise a diverse workload (and able to articulate management of time/process)
    • Strong inter-personal and communication skills essential: Able to create a network of peers and build relationships across the business (stakeholder management – cross function)
    • Customer focused and insight driven
    • Self-starter with a mentality of ownership and personal accountability
    • Creative and always curious
    • Energetic and confident team player. Enthusiastic, motivated and not afraid to have a voice
    • Ambitious and driven with a clear perspective of your career and where you want to go
    • Target oriented (ideally you have worked in a measured environment)
