    Main Purpose of Role

    The Head of Marketing will manage the strategy and implementation of all marketing campaigns for WBI’s charity portfolio and ARK reports and events to raise awareness of our products. He or she will work as a key member of the management team to achieve budgeted revenues and profit figures. They will head up a newly restructured team of 4 marketing professionals and a freelance marketing consultant.




    The Head of Marketing will manage a team of 5 to achieve marketing objectives and budgeted revenues. He or she will create a proactive and positive, results driven environment and ensure all communications are high quality and GDPR compliant. Key duties include:

    Building strategic marketing plans to meet sales revenues and raise awareness of our brands

    • Responsibility for marketing strategy, market positioning, execution and review
    • Work with the Product Director and sales team to develop a joined-up strategy that generates new business opportunities, increases customer retention and builds brand profile

    Developing and implementing digital marketing strategies to increase traffic to websites, increase conversions and generate qualified sales leads

    • Lead a project to improve data management, implement marketing automation and transition the business to Marketo automation software
    • Transition the marketing function from a lead generation to a lead nurturing culture
    • Review and improve on our existing content amplification, SEO and PPC activities
    • Set traffic and conversion targets, and report on progress using online measurement tools

    Using content, PR and social media to raise awareness of our products and brands

    • Work with the Content Manager to build on existing content marketing, social and PR strategies
    • Support the Content Manager in building new online communities and newsletters for ARK

    Driving events marketing to achieve delegate sales revenues

    • Work with the Campaign Manager to create event marketing campaigns that result in delegate sales and qualified sales leads

    Reporting and research

    • Attend product and management meetings, reporting on marketing progress
    • Review current reporting metrics
    • Build customer feedback groups and carry out face to face and online research to support new product development and improve customer satisfaction.

    Skills and Experience Required


    This is a great opportunity for a data and systems driven marketing professional who thinks on their feet and wants to make an impact through implementing new digital marketing strategies, automation and content marketing. The successful candidate will commercial, results driven, a confident communicator and have a can-do attitude.


    Skills required:


    • At least 3 years’ experience of creating strategic digital marketing plans
    • At least 3 years’ experience of managing teams
    • Experience of implementing automation and lead nurturing campaigns using Marketo, HubSpot or similar software
    • Marketing qualification, preferably with digital marketing emphasis
    • Experience of managing conferences or events an advantage
