    Main Purpose of Role

    Responsible for accurate and timely financial information (monthly management accounts, forecasts and reconciliations) and providing key support to the Financial Controller.

    • Responsible for producing Management Accounts for 3 business units by working day 5.
    • Producing monthly re-forecasts and annual budgets.
    • Month-end Balance Sheet reconciliations.
    • Prepare monthly variance analysis to forecast and budget for board papers.
    • Prepare a detailed Flash report for specific business units on the last day of the month, highlighting and explaining key variances. This will involve liaising with all departments to collect relevant information.
    • Produce Key Performance Indicators.
    • Build relationships with MDs and department heads so that there is a solid understanding of the business.
    • Maintaining and managing the ledgers of the businesses within the accounting software.
    • To work as a team to ensure the timetable is met and the regular reports are distributed to the relevant management.
    • Ensure that group accounting policy and procedures are adhered to.
    • Ad-hoc tasks as required.

    Skills and Experience Required

     

    • CIMA / ACCA part qualified/ finalist.
    • Strong Management Accounting experience with a proactive approach.
    • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Management Accounts department.
    • Knowledge of Sun Accounting Software – Including Q&A Excel & Executive would be an advantage, but not essential.
    • Advanced excel (e.g. pivot tables/vlookups).
    • Experience of working in foreign currencies.
    • Ability to work with others to achieve team goals.
    • Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise workloads accordingly.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication skills at all levels.
