    Main Purpose of Role

    Compliance Week is looking for a highly motivated and versatile individual to assist the staff in the daily writing, editing, and formatting of blog posts and email newsletters and helping to distribute CW content via social media channels. In addition to those daily duties, the Editorial Assistant will conduct market research and create reports on trending topics in the compliance industry as well as assist with web traffic analytics. The individual will work out of the Compliance Week offices in downtown Boston.


    Job Description:

    • Copy editing and fact-checking blog posts.
    • Writing short blog posts on compliance industry news.
    • Distributing content via social media (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)
    • Copy editing emails that will be sent to subscribers.
    • Consulting with editorial team and helping to assemble daily email newsletter.
    • Working within Google Analytics to create specific traffic reports on Compliance Week content, identifying trends.
    • Conducting internet- and outreach-sourced research on trending topics within compliance, cyber-security and corporate governance.

    Skills and Experience Required

    Required skills and experience:

    • Strong interest in business journalism and current events.
    • Experience writing and editing for a publication and a keen attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
    • Background in social media use and trends.
    • Ability to meet deadlines.

    Preferred skills:

    • Baseline knowledge of HTML.
    • Experience using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
    • Experience using website content management systems and email marketing tools.
    • Experience with Google analytics a plus.
