Main Purpose of Role

International Compliance Training require a Business Development Manager to lead our  business development from our soon to open offices in Malaysia.
Key Duties and Responsibilities will include:
  • To cold call as appropriate to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities
  • Targeting and gaining new business and to gain comprehensive knowledge of the business over a wide geographical area.
  • To ensure efficient and effective operating standards for sales administration, planning and reporting systems.
  • Ensure all response documents are free from errors, professionally presented and that they address the client questions.
  • Track progress against targets on an on-going basis and take necessary action
  • To submit weekly work in progress reports and ensure data is accurate for real time reporting
  • To support the retention of existing business at re-tender times and to purse leads to expand existing business
  • To work with and support large accounts
  • To support mobilization of new business with agreed handover to Operations
  • To actively target and build prospect client relationships.
  • Maintain and develop close client relationship of new contracts
  • Develop and actively engage in client relationship building
  • Identify and target influential people inside the client, customer and third party organisation and build relationship with them.
  • Share knowledge, experience and expertise with key clients, customer and third parties
  • Work in conjunction with the finance team to construct winning bids which meets the needs of the client.
  • Mobilise all new business gains in liaison with operational colleagues until agreed handover date.
  • Manage effectively the sales process through prospect development/tender receipt, proposal, presentation and closing negotiations.
  • Ensure company pro-forma process is accurately completed for all proposals and new business gains.
  • To support contract compliance through the negotiation of company contractual and payment terms, ensuring all aspects are understood and accepted.

Skills and Experience Required


Excellent Communication skills
Good written skills
Good CRM skills
Good IT skills

Proven track record in sales to C-Level client base- global 500 companies
Knowledge of financial services sector

Any other Specific Requirements:
To be able to work on own initiative and work without supervision.
To maintain a good working relationship with people at all levels.
