Main Purpose of Role

Central Law Training (CLT) are looking for a Marketing Executive to drive revenue and attendance for their portfolio of seminars, conferences, online training and in-house programmes across England, Scotland and Wales.
 

This is an exciting role for someone looking to progress their marketing career in a fast-paced environment and with a high level of responsibility. The ideal candidate will have a strong events marketing background with experience of managing several campaigns at the same time utilising a range of digital and offline marketing channels.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execution of marketing campaigns to drive revenue for a large number of public courses, conferences, and online training programmes
  • Production of content-based marketing to increase engagement with clients
  • Working closely with the sales team to generate leads for in-house training and membership
  • Assisting in the development of marketing strategies to meet overall business objectives
  • Working with the internal database team for the selection, segmentation and maintenance of data to increase effective targeting, response/conversion rates as well as new data acquisition
  • Communicating with members to raise awareness of benefits and increase renewal rates
  • Conducting detailed analysis of client demographics and purchase behaviour to steer marketing decisions and improve customer segmentation
  • Ensuring the website is updated and correct
  • Tracking and recording of marketing spend whilst monitoring ROI of each channel and campaign
  • Sourcing, managing and negotiating with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and maximum quality
  • Collating KPI and tracking information and reporting these to senior stakeholders
  • Assisting in the development of a new website and migration of data to SalesForce

Skills and Experience Required

 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR THIS ROLE

  • 2-3 years marketing experience with an events background
  • Educated to degree-level or equivalent
  • Highly motivated and proactive
  • Excellent copywriting skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and results orientated
  • Outstanding time management skills and ability to prioritise a shifting workload
  • Excellent attention to detail with pride in accuracy of work produced
  • Able to work effectively under pressure to deadlines
  • Knowledge of the legal market an advantage
  • IDM/CIM or other marketing qualification an advantage

SKILLS

  • Strong copywriting skills with ability to quickly create engaging copy for a wide range of topics
  • Background of creating innovative marketing campaigns utilising the full marketing mix
  • Experience of segmenting client data to deliver targeted messaging to relevant audiences
  • Design-literate and able to constructively brief and appraise creative work
  • Experience of using digital marketing including email, social, SEO, PPC as part of integrated campaigns
  • Familiarity of Google Analytics to track client behaviour and report on key metrics
  • Intermediate Excel skills with capability of creating detailed analysis of customer data, campaign results and ROI
  • Confidence to communicate with senior stakeholders on marketing KPIs and campaigns
  • Understanding of managing customer data as well as acquisition of prospect data including knowledge of data protection regulations
  • Strong proofreading skills with pride taken in ensuring accuracy across all marketing channels and content produced
