Main Purpose of Role

The Big Picture

You’ll be asked to cultivate a deep understanding of our end users, understand how to target them, what their needs and objections are, and how to motivate them to take action. Success will require the cultivation of strong relationships with both internal and external subject matter experts whose knowledge you will be translating into strategic marketing copy. You’ll be creating campaigns to drive attendance to our events and will be responsible for making sure those plans are executed on time and within budget. An understanding of marketing automation and data analytics will allow the ideal candidate to leverage our systems and process to achieve success.


Who You’ll be working with

This position will work beside three graphic designers, a Marketo & email coordinator, several other marketing managers, the Systems Architect and the CMO. Collaboration with non-marketing personnel in the production and operations departments is also critical to success.


What You’ll be doing

The marketing manager will develop comprehensive marketing plans within budget for our executive-level conferences and seminars.  Responsibilities include developing marketing positioning statements, media partnerships, defining customer targeting, writing marketing  copy, coordinating marketing automation, direct mail, e-mail and social media marketing campaigns.  You are responsible for managing each conference marketing from design through execution and ROI analysis.


  • Define Customer Targets – Define who is our best audience for each particular product based on historical precedent, audience knowledge and articulated through Industry, Job function & demographic profiling.
  • Create Strategic Marketing Plans - Work with marketing leadership and production staff to create multi-channel strategies leveraging Marketo Automation, paid and unpaid partner relationships, and organic content marketing initiatives.
  • Manage Marketing Production - Coordinate design and approval of all marketing assets for assigned conferences on time and within budget
  • ROI Analysis – Review marketing activities and results for each conference on a weekly basis and report them to leadership.
  • Manage Partnerships - Act as primary contact for all marketing partnerships and monitor traction/engagement
  • Sponsorship Contract Fulfillment - Work with our Internal sponsorship sales team to deliver exposure in alignment with our sponsor contracts.
  • Build new corporate partnerships - Identify top corporate influencers as acquisition targets for new media partnerships
  • Cultivate brand ambassadors - Creatively incentivize individual influencers to amplify our marketing reach through their established networks
  • Campaign execution - Listen & execute on Social Media strategy via twitter, facebook, reddit, youtube, Google+, LinkedIn,,,,, etc.

Skills and Experience Required

  • B2B digital marketer with experience running multi-touch campaigns
  • B2B event marketer who understands the nuances of marketing live events
  • Strong copywriting skills
  • B2B social media savvy
  • Strong task manager with great organizational skills who is able to prioritize and multi-task
  • Effective communicator, verbally and in writing
  • Mature, discreet and reliable personality
  • High energy personality that has a competitive spirit



  • A bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Digital campaign management experience and reporting a must
  • 2+ years experience in healthcare or related marketing is a plus.
  • 2+ years experience in event marketing is a plus.
