Main Purpose of Role

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly accounts
  • Assist the Group Finance team with the production of the Annual and Interim report and IFRS accounts
  • Assist in the preparation of the statutory accounts for UK entities
  • Assist with information requests relating to UK and overseas tax returns
  • Build strong relationships with the Group Finance and Management Accounts teams
  • Develop an understanding of SUN accounting software and play a part in developing ongoing improvements to the reporting of financial information
  • Contribute to one off projects and be prepared to respond to ad hoc finance related requests

Skills and Experience Required

 Skills & Experience:

  • Graduate with a minimum 2:1 qualification
  • Excellent numeracy skills
  • A commitment to becoming an ACCA qualified accountant
  • Strong Excel and Word skills
  • Responds well to coaching and is keen to progress
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise and adhere to timetables
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • A high level of personal drive and motivation
  • Has a proactive and hands-on approach and is willing to use initiative
  • Positive outlook and ‘can-do’ attitude
