Main Purpose of Role

To be responsible for ensuring all WBI datasets are kept up to date and comply with data regulations. Responsibilities will include:

 

Data Management

  • Work with editorial databases to ensure all data is of the highest quality
  • Work with sales and marketing CRM systems to ensure data is relevant and complies with data protection regulations
  • Keep up to date with legislation around data and permissions and circulate relevant information to the rest of the business
  • Ensure we collect the relevant permissions for data protection and GDPR
  • Run queries to identify data sets that need updating
  • Update data held in the marketing CRM system on a weekly basis
  • Work with the Marketing Manager and Marketing Executive to ensure lists used in email campaigns are up to date and GDPR compliant
  • Manage the storage of data permissions across all databases
  • Maintain subscriber lists for The Fundraiser, Charity Financials Insider and Pension Funds Insider e-newsletters
  • Work on data cleaning projects
  • Engage relevant stakeholders to ensure information statements are up to date and GDPR compliant
  • Carry out telephone campaigns for out of date contacts to get them to opt in to relevant services when necessary
  • Extract relevant lists for marketing campaigns and ensure they hold the correct permissions for the planned communication

Reporting & Communications

  • Work with the editorial, marketing and sales teams to ensure our data is as up to date as its can be and complies with GDPR
  • Act as the main contact for the Head of Group Data Management and Database Support Manager
  • Work with the marketing team to clean data and get opt ins for relevant products
  • Work with the customer service and sales teams to get opt ins for relevant products
  • Monthly reporting to the management team on KPIs
  • Reporting to the Head of Group Data Management on KPIs

Skills and Experience Required

  • Excellent database skills, ideally Access / SQL or familiarity with modern database information system technologies
  • Good communication skills – internal and external
  • Experience of working with sales and marketing CRM systems an advantage (e.g. Salesforce, Exact Target)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good reporting and analytical skills
  • Good at troubleshooting
  • Experience of query writing an advantage
