WBI Charities and Pensions division is made up of four key portfolios:


Smee & Ford is the UK’s leading provider of trusted legacy information. The notification service lets charities know when they have been mentioned in a will and what the details of the gift are. More recently, we have developed online analysis tools allowing charities to identify key trends in legacy giving to better enable them to plan their future legacy fundraising strategy.


Charity Financials provides in-depth financial data and analysis on the UK’s charities and other not-for-profit organisations. Taking information from the charities’ accounts and other sources, Charity Financials produces a number of essential products to the market including an online financial analysis tool,, and an annual print directory, Top 3,000 Charities.


Charity Choice provides a printed and online directory of charities along with an online platform for charities to fully engage with their supporters. The website offers consumers the opportunity to fundraise, volunteer, donate goods or donate to the charity of their choice.


Pension Funds Online publishes information on the performance of pension funds in the UK and worldwide. Two annual directories, Pension Funds and their Advisers and International Pension Funds and their Advisers, accompany the website. The essential data is researched for each pension fund including financial criteria, contact information and key personnel details.

Main Purpose of Role

The role is a temorary position for the short term. The purpose of this role is to help input financial data in to our international database for publication online at and in print in our annual publication International Pension Funds and their Advisers (IPFA)


The main responsibilities are as follows;

  • To research pension fund data online
  • To read financial reports and to find relevant information
  • Keying financial data entry in to a database for publication

We are looking for a recent graduate or someone looking to develop database and research skills in an office environment.


Skills and Experience Required


Required skills;



  • German (Native Speaker, C2,C1, consider B2)
  • English (Native Speaker,C1, C2)


  • Be able to read financial information/business language in German
  • Be able to translate or look up information in other countries/other key languages such as Dutch/French/Spanish


Training will be provided to all candidates on how to read pension fund accounts and how to use the databases.
