Main Purpose of Role

This is a contract role for 6-8 months.


By providing excellent customer support and accurate administration duties to the event operations team this position will be integral to the successful delivery of all allocated industry leading events pre, during and post.


Predominantly working on the awards portfolio, which consists of 4 ceremonies per year – Healthcare Partnership Awards (new for 2018), Patient Safety Awards (800+ attendees), Value in Healthcare Awards

(1000+ attendees) and the HSJ Awards, which is the largest awards programme in the world and welcomed 1,700 attendees in 2016.


Attention to detail, customer service and the ability to build strong relations with internal stakeholders and all event attendees are all key attributes as well as a can-do attitude.


Responsibilities will include:


  • Assist with the recruitment of judges
  • Work with the event manger to compile and finalise the short-list
  • Produce judging packs and associated administration for the live judging days
  • Assist to run the judging days with the event manager
  • Process all awards table or individual seat bookings
  • Produce pre event administration
  • Support the setup of the event and assist the event manager with staff briefing
  • Play an integral role on the night to deliver the event seamlessly and to time
  • Post event administration
  • Carry out any other additional tasks relating to other events within the event portfolio as required

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5 C grades or above of GCSEs to include English and Maths
  • Minimum 6-month experience within a customer service role
  • Experience within an awards or event company would be an advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Computer literate

IT experience:

  • Must be familiar with general computer use including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Salesforce knowledge an advantage
